Solution:

Given:

Total number of toy cars = 16

Number of red cars =
(3)/(8) of the total number of cars =
(3)/(8)*16

On dividing 8 and 16 we get 2 i.e.
3*2=6

$\therefore$ Total red cars = 6

To find: the number of blue toy cars

Number of blue toy cars = Total number of toy cars - Number of red cars

$\Rightarrow 16-6=10$

Hence, blue cars = 10
