Given:

Total number of toy cars = 16

Number of red cars =
`(3)/(8)` of the total number of cars =
`(3)/(8)*16`

On dividing 8 and 16 we get 2 i.e.
`3*2=6`

`\therefore` Total red cars = 6

To find: the number of blue toy cars

Number of blue toy cars = Total number of toy cars - Number of red cars

`\Rightarrow 16-6=10`

Hence, blue cars = 10
