Simple
Pounds = 0.99
Apples bought = 8.9
0.99 • 8.9 = 8.811
Simplify to 8.81
Student pays $10
Subtract 10 - 8.81
Answer : $1.19

10.00 - 8.81 =
$1.19 is how much they would get back
