A solution is made by dissolving

4.0 g of potassium chloride in water
a final volume of 78.9 mL solution.
What is the weight/weight % or the
percent by mass of the solute?
Use 1.00 g/mL for the density of the solution.

Answer = 5.069%

Step-by-step explanation:

mass of solute (kcl) = 4g

mass of solution = volume/ density

= 78.9/1

=78.9

we know,

weight/weight% =( mass of solute/ mass of solution)× 100%

= (4÷78.9)×100

= 5.069%
