What is the volume of a cone with a diameter 10cm at the base and a height of 20 cm? Use 3.14

522.81 cm^3

Explanation:

So the volume of cones is found through the equation V=(pi)r^2(h/3)

So, we take the height, 20 cm, and divide by 3, giving us 6.66~. Then we take the radius, 5cm, half of the diameter, and square it, for 25. Then, we multiply them all together. (3.14)x(25)x(6.66~) for about 522.81 cm^3.

[Also, note that I only went out to two decimal places in all of this. You may want to just use the fraction of 20/3 rather than 6.66~]

[This would be 523.3333~]
