Answer: y = 50; x = 34

ABCD is a quadrilateral inscribed in the circle

=> ∠ABD = ∠ACD

⇔ x = 34°

and ∠ADB = ∠ACB

we also have:

∠DCE + ∠ DCB = 180°

⇔ 96° + x + ∠ACB = 180°

⇔ ∠ACB = 180 - 96 - x = 180 - 96 - 34 = 50

because ∠ADB = ∠ACB => y = 50°
