Total you have to pay: $47.55

Tax amt: $6.20

Explanation:

Multiply $41.35 by 1.15

How this works, when your increasing an amount you first change the percentage to a decimal number. Afterwards you add the decimal number

Ex: 1 + .15= 1.15

Or the opposite: 1 - .15= .85

Then multiply your original number by the number you got from the previous step.

Ex: $41.35 x 1.15=47.55

And to find how much you increase just do (Final amount-Initial Amount)
