8. Find the x and y intercepts. 6x + 12y = 24 ​

Answer:

x - intercept: 4

y - intercept: 2

Explanation:

The way you find the x-intereceppt is to pretend that the 12y isnt there. Therfore making the equation 6x=24. Then 24 divided by 6 equals 4.

The same thing but for the y-intercpt. Take away the 6x making the equation 12y=24. 24 divivded by 12 equals 2.

Make it slope intercept form
12y = -6x + 24
Divide by 12
Y = -1/2x + 2
Plug in 0 for x, y intercept = 2
Plug in 0 for y, x intercept = 4
X int = 4, y int = 2
