Well for 1 pitcher of lemonade she needs atleast 2 cups, so if she were to make 3 pitchers that would be 2 cups for each pitcher. Solution is to just multiply 2cups to the number of pitchers:
2cups x 3 pitchers = 6 cups
Melanie would need 6 cups of sugar if she were to make 3 pitchers of lemonade. :))
