It costs $13 to rent a canoe and $5.50 to use the canoe for an hour. You have $29.50. Write an equation that represents the number h of hours you can rent the canoe.

Say R = Rent

h = hours of using

* Rent needs to be added when we pick the canoe itself

* Hours should be multiplied with $5.50 to get total spent money.

R + 5.50h = 29.50

R=13

13+5.50h = 29.50

5.50h= 29.50-13

5.50h = 16.50

h = $16.50/$5.50 (

h = 3
