i) the ratio of males to females is 8:4
ii) the ratio of females to total number of family members is 4:12

i) because the total number is 12
12-8=4
therefore there are 4 females in the family
So the answer is 8:4

ii) because we know there are 4 females and there’s 12 members in the family so the answer is 4:12
