If I would have to choose I would like to live during WW1 in the year of 1918 because in that period United States were not affected by the war. In the 20th Century United States became a global power and with the WW1 they proved to be world' greatest economical and military power. Being a citizen of United States in this period meant that you were living in a stable country where war wasn't led. United States participated in war, but on the other side the soldiers were only fighting outside the its territory. I truly believed that in this period people were feeling the prosperity and weren't troubled by the problems that most of the people in Europe had.

When WW1 started in 1914 United States decided to continue the policy of Isolationism. They remained neutral until 1917 when they decided to support the Entente powers. Being on the side of winners they were able to preserve the dominant position in the world.
