add 11 to both sides
3x+15= 8x
then you subtract 3x from both sides
15=5x
divide both sides by 5
x=3

Answer:

x = 3

Explanation:

Subtract 8x from both sides.

3x+4−8x=8x−11−8x

−5x+4=−11

Subtract 4 from both sides.

−5x+4−4=−11−4

−5x=−15

Divide both sides by -5.

−5x

−5

=

−15

−5

x=3
