Explanation:

f(x) = x^2 + 3x + 2

f(0) = (0)^2 + 3(0) + 2

= 2.

f(x) = 0

x^2 + 3x + 2 = 0

(x + 1)(x + 2) = 0

x + 1 = 0 x + 2 = 0

x = -1 x = -2

hence x = -1 or -2.
