Imagine that you are one of Elie Weisel’s brothers or sisters. The Nazi’s have established a ghetto for Jews and forced your family to live there. For the moment, your parents are calm and obedient. Are you? How would you feel? How would you behave? Do you think you would've tried to escape? As you consider your response to these questions, remember that at this time, the Jewish residents of the ghettos often didn't know about the camps and were not aware that the ultimate goal of the Nazis was to eradicate the Jewish population of Europe.

If I was Elie weisel’s brother or sisters and in that type of situation, I would have been freaking out. I would feel upset bc were splitting up from them. I would probably behave and follow their directions. I would try to escape for sure. To see my family! Hope this answers question!

I would not feel the same way as my parents, I would feel scared. I would behave with an appropriate manner so I do not get punished. I would try to see if there was a way out, if I were to escape, I would be very careful.
