Do you think that Atticus genuinely believed that the people of Maycomb would not cause trouble when Tom Robison came to the town jail? In the book to kill a mocking bird

I do not think that he genuinely believed this but wanted to make Scout calm. Atticus was getting a lot of hate already and people would want Tom Robinson dead for the “crimes” he committed.

Answer: I think that he did not genuinely belive the people of maycomb wouldnt cause troble because their actions in the town were very sutle to me.
