At the grocery store, you can buy gum in a 6 pack for $11.70 or a 12 pack of gum for $23. Which is the better deal and what is the price per pack of gun if the better deal?

The better deal is the 12 pack. You would have more gum per dollar. If you bought two six packs, you would be paying $1.95 for a piece of gum. If you bought the 12 pack you would be paying 1.916 (repeating) for a pice of gum.
