x = 6.3

Explanation:

since the quadrilaterals are similar then the ratios of corresponding sides are in proportion, that is


(QR)/(KL) =
(RS)/(LM) ( substitute values )


(x)/(7) =
(3.6)/(4) ( cross- multiply )

4x = 7 × 3.6 = 35.2 ( divide both sides by 4 )

x = 6.3
