Look at the examples of comma splices. Either use one of the conjunctions, or a semi colon in the box below to correct the splice. (There may be more than one correct answer).

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

I don't like using what you have been given. Question 1 should have a period after films. You changed to an entirely different thought.

2. I would use a semicolon. The thoughts connect and you could use "because," but the semicolon works better I think. These are pretty marginal questions.

3. But after high. Perhaps the comma is fine.

4. Again a period after Rachel.

5. Because after Easteners. A semi colon might be better. A period might work best of all.

6. Period after picnic. A colon would do as well. You could use because as well.

7. Here again, a period would work best. They are two separate thoughts.

8. Period after hospital. I'd use a colon, but if you can't, use a semicolon.
