(ADD 5 TO BOTH SIDES)

13x-5+5=1+11x+5

SIMPLIFY

13x=11x+6

SUBTRACT 11x FROM BOTH SIDES

13x-11x=11x+6-11x

SIMPLIFY

2x=6

DIVIDE BOTH SIDES BY 2

2x/2 = 6/2

SIMPLIFY TO GET FINAL ANSWER

x=3
