Answer:

The country with the highest literacy rate still has more than 56% of its population living on less than $1 a day. The country with the lowest literacy rate has about the same percentage of its population living on less than $1 a day. The country with the lowest poverty rate also has a very low literacy rate, at just 65%. There does not seem to be a correlation between literacy and income, as even countries with higher literacy rates do not necessarily see economic benefits.
