hello!

The estimate is going to get to 90.

——————————————————

Estimate means you’re going to round your numbers.

58.7 can be rounded to 60
1612 can be rounded to 1600

now put these numbers back in.

60 squared (60 multiplied by 60) is 3600
And square root of 1600 is 40 (as 40 multiplied by 40 gives 1600)

Now you have 3600/40 (or 360/4, then 180/2) which gives 90.

so an estimate of the answer gives 90.

An estimate for the value of 58.7^2/√1612 is 90.

We can estimate 58.7^2 by rounding 58.7 to 60, and

we can estimate √1612 by rounding √1600, which is approximately 40, to 50.

Substituting these estimates gives us an estimate of (60^2)/50 = 3600/50 = 72.
