Hi student, let me help you out! :)
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
We are asked to solve the equation
.

- The goal is to get x all by itself.
So here's how we solve the equation...
///\\\///\\\///\\\///\\\///\\\///\\\///\\\///\\\///\\\///\\\\///\\\///\\\///\\\///\\\///\\\///\\\///\\\
Notice that we can add 10 and 58 right off the bat:

Now we subtract 2 from both sides of the equal sign:
![\large\pmb{11x=5x+66}](https://img.qammunity.org/2023/formulas/mathematics/middle-school/zx6q0e9wlo3xps713hizescy75xmmbd79v.png)
Now we subtract 5x from both sides of the equal sign:
![\large\pmb{6x=66}](https://img.qammunity.org/2023/formulas/mathematics/middle-school/ymqbtfuidi7akthsdhpbzwwl5brp2w6f29.png)
Divide both sides by 6:

That's the value of x.
Hope it helps you out! :D
