Distance Formula:
√((x_2 - x_1)^2 + (y_2-y_1)^2)

First, plug the two points in.

(6, 2) ( 1, -4)

x1 y1 x2 y2

√((1 - 6)^2 + (-4-2)^2)\\√((-5)^2 + (-6)^2)\\√(25 + 36)\\√(61)

The square root of 61 is axproximately 7.8
