Answer: It would take
21(14)/(15) gallons of gas to completely fill the tank.

Explanation:

Given: capacity of tank =
18\frac35 gallons

=(18*5+3)/(5)=(93)/(5) gallons

Tank contains
3\frac13 gallons of gas

i.e. it has
(3*3+1)/(3)=(10)/(3) gallons of gas.

Difference =
(93)/(5)-(10)/(3)=(93*3+10*5)/(5*3)

=(329)/(15)\\\\=21(14)/(15) gallons

Hence, it would take
21(14)/(15) gallons of gas to completely fill the tank.
