Large industries, such as the automobile industry provide job opportunities for civilians, so cities and towns may form around factories where products are needing to be produced. They also give civilians more of an advantage for migration and travel, allowing people to move more easily from place to place and discover and develop new cities and societies

Answer:

The automobile gave people more personal freedom and access to jobs and services. It led to development of better roads and transportation. Industries and new jobs developed to supply the demand for automobile parts and fuel. These included petroleum and gasoline, rubber, and then plastics.
