Susan ate 3/8 of a pan of brownies. Which decimal represents the amount of brownies left?

First you have to find how much 1/8 is as a decimal, which is 0.125. Multiply 0.125 by 3 to get 3/8 or add it 3 times which gives you 0.375. That knocks out 2 answers already A and C because it's asking how many brownies are left. You can either subtract 0.375 from 1 or you can do an easier way. .075 + 0.25 = 0.1, so it can't be D because it would be over 1 pan of brownies which leaves you with B. B is your answer.
