Answer: A. 50% B. 25%

Explanation:

Given: A tennis racquet that regularly sells for $50 is on sale for $40.

Decrease in price = $ (50-40)= $ 10

Percent decrease in price of racquet =
\frac{\text{Decrease in price}}{\text{Regular selling price}}*100\%

=(10)/(50)*100\%=50\%

The percent decrease in price on the tennis racquet = 50%.

The same store has a popular camping tent that was selling for $160 and now is marked up to $200.

Increase in price = $ 200-160= $40

Percent increase =
(40)/(160)*100\%

=(100\%)/(4)=25\%

hence, the percent increase in price on the camping tent = 25%
