Well, it's really simple actually. You don't need to focus on all those extra words on the top, focus on days and swings

In 20 days, Carmen swings 10 times.

In 10 days, Carmen swings 5 times.

If you notice, Y is multipled 0.5 of the original, so half

This means, 1 day (X) is swung 0.5 (Y)
