1) y= 2-x
2) sub in (y= 2-x) so
3x - 2 (2-x)=1
so 3x -4 + 2x= 1
5x= 5
x=1
sub x=1 into either equation
1+y=2
so y=1

Explanation:

1. x=2-y

y=2-x

2. 3x=1+2y

x=(1+2y)/3

-2y=1-3x

y=(1-3x)/-2

y=(-1+3x)/2
