Answer:

x = 5

Explanation:

→ Find an expression for the area of one surface

→ Multiply that by 6 as there are 6 surfaces on a cube

6x²

→ Equation expression to 150

6x² = 150

→ Divide both sides by 6

x² = 25

→ Square root both sides

x = 5

Explanation:

a cube has 6 surfaces (everybody knows about the 6 sides of a die).

they are all equally sized.

so, the area of one cube surface area is

150/6 = 25 cm²

now, each of these areas is a square (4 equal side lengths), and the area of such a square is side length × side length = side length².

so,

side length² = 25 cm²

therefore,

side length = sqrt(25) = 5 cm
