Hope did it right

The problem with Joe's answer is that

When we expand the equation we will get

(8x - 12)(x + 1) \\ = 8 {x}^(2) - 12x + 8x - 12 \\ = 8 {x}^(2) - 4x - 12

... Hope this will help....
