Amy wants to enlarge a rectangle with sides 9 and 12 inches. If

the shorter side of the new rectangle is 135 inches, how long will
the longer side be?

Answer: the longer side will be 180 inches.

It has to been enlarge, meaning that it has gotten bigger to 135 inches.

This also means that it was multiplied by a number to get 135.

So divide 135 by 9 to find the number it was multiplied by, and multiply that number by 12 to find the length of the longer side.

135 / 9 = 15

12 * 15 = 180

This means the larger side is 180 inches.
