  • f(x)=-9x+3

Now translation of 1 units left means change in x axis

  • g(x)=-9(x+1)+3

10 units up means change in y axis

  • g(x)=-9(x+1)+3+10

Simplify

  • g(x)=-9x-9+13
  • g(x)=-9x+4

Answer:

First, to translate it up 10 units, you can simply add 10 to the b value. -9x+13 is the resulting function. Now to translate it 1 left, I can put the x in parenthesis and then add one to x, to subtract one because that would translate it right. The ending function is f'(x) = -9(x+1)+13, expanding to -9x-9+13, or -9x+4. The answer is -9x+4.
