Explanation:

if the figure is to be a parallelogram, then

∠ ACB and ∠ DAC are alternate angles and are congruent , that is

5y - 13 = 7 + 3y ( subtract 3y from both sides )

2y - 13 = 7 ( add 13 to both sides )

2y = 20 ( divide both sides by 2 )

y = 10
