The first problem is an closed circle because the symbol means GREATER THAN OR EQUAL TOO.

The second problem is an open circle because the symbol is only GREATER THAN not equal than.

- better explain: the first inequality symbol stands for greater than or equal too, while the second inequality symbol only mean greater than.

I’m bad at explaining too, sorry if this didn’t help !

The inequality in the first equation is defined as greater than or equal to while, in comparison, the inequality in the second equation stands for only greater than.
