What is the solution set to this equation? log₂ (x - 2) + log₂x = 3​

Let's see


\\ \rm\Rrightarrow log_2(x-2)+log_2x=3


\\ \rm\Rrightarrow log_2(x(x-2))=3


\\ \rm\Rrightarrow x²-2x=8


\\ \rm\Rrightarrow x(x-2)=8

Either x=8

Or

  • x-2=8
  • x=10
