I was thinking about this for a while-

Is there a gender-neutral way of saying "el" and "ella" in Spanish-

(Sorry if I spelt the Spanish terms wrong!)

Answer:

I've been researching and I couldn't find the neutral word.

The closest thing is refer to him or her (él o ella) as "esa persona" (that person)

Another option is:

"Usted" but it's not appropriate for all cases.
