Answer:

When there are numbers like that next to the radical it means multiply. like this: 2√9. You would first figure out the square root. Square root of 9 is 3. 2 times 3 is 6.

After you figure out those problems, you just need to put the number, x, and y in an equation with 2 unknowns.
