Given the function graphed below, find the average rate of change over the

interval x= 2 to x = 4. I’ve been stuck on this question for a little bit . Can’t seem to wrap my head around it

Approximately 0.3.

Explanation:

I can only estimate the value of the function when x = 2. it looks like it's about 2.4.

Average rate of change = [(f4) - f(2)] / (4 - 2)

= (3 - 2.4) / 2

= 0.6/2

= 0.3.
