Toucans and blue-and-yellow macaws are both tropical birds. The length of the toucan in the picture to the right is about two thirds of the

length of the blue-and-yellow macaw. The toucan is about 26 in long. What is the length of the blue-and-yellow macaw?

Answer:

The macaw would be about 17.34.

Step-by-step explanation:

You would have to do 2/3 of 26.

To find this out, you have to do 26÷3 because to find the fraction of a number you have to divide by the denominator and multiply by the numerator.

26÷3 = 8.6666666667. We can't work with a recurring decimal so I would round it to 2 decimal places which would be 8.67.

After we multiply by the numerator so 8.67 × 2 = 17.34.

The answer would be 17.34

Hope this helps!
