To keep the gods happy, animals were sacrificed (killed) as offerings. Romans sacrificed animals such as bulls, sheep, and pigs. The romans beleived that the best way to comminicate with the gods was blood sacrifice. The gods were worshiped and loved and sometimes feared if something went wrong.
