Answer: 315 joules

W = work = unknown

F = force = 700 N

d = displacement = 0.45 m

W = F*d

W = (700 N)*(0.45 m)

W = (700*0.45) Nm

W = 315 Nm

W = 315 J

  • Nm stands for "newton meters" and not "nanometers"
  • 1 joule = 1 newton meter
