a triangle has an area of 36cm2. The base and height are scaled by a factor of 5. What is the area of the resulting triangle?

Explanation:

1) the initial area is: A₀=0.5*base*h;

2) the final area is: A=0.5*(5*base)*(5*h).

It means, that 25A₀=A, then A=900 [cm²].
