If N=m/x + q , find the value of q when N = 1whole 4/5 ,m=9 and x =2
please help asap

Answer:

N=m/x + q

First turn the mixed fraction into improper fraction.

1 4/5 in improper fraction is 9/5. So,

9/5= 9/2 + q

1.8 = 4.5 + q

q= 1.8 - 4.5

q= -2.7

when,

N = 1⅘ = 9/5

m = 9

x = 2

Now,

N = m ÷ x + q

9/5 = 9/2 + q

q = 9/5 – 9/2

q = -2.7

Thus, The value of q is -2.7
