It is with utmost expediency that I write this letter to you. It is unfortunate to say that our dear citadel of learning has descended into a moral quagmire owing to the actions of certain miscreants who have found their way into the school as students.
It is important to restate the fact that the school is charged with the responsibility of nurturing the next generation of leaders in any country. For this reason, the school must stand out as an epitome of discipline and sound moral conduct. This is why I plead with you sir, to take the issue of moral decadence in the school very seriously.
A few days ago, I discovered certain students loitering around the refectory area after lights out. I recommended to the dean of student affairs that the affected students should be suspended from the school for two weeks as a means of mitigating the impact of the collapsing disciplinary code in the school but the case was treated with levity.
This has further emboldened other students to break school rules without any attendant consequences.
Sir, any system that winks at lawlessness has set the stage for anarchy to overwhelm such system.
I hereby call on you sir, to use your good office to do the needful in the area of instilling discipline into the students.
