Concentrate is diluted with water in the ratio 3 : 2. How much concentrate is there in 125 mL of total solution?

Answer:

75 mL.

Explanation:

3/(3+2) = 3/5 of the solution is concentrate.

So the answer is 125 * 3/5

= 3*25

= 75 mL.

125ml (concentrate+water) -> ratio 3:2

125ml/5 = 25ml

25ml *3 = 75ml concentrate

25ml*2 = 50 ml water


Answer: there is 75 ml concentrate in the total solution
