Explanation:

the x-intercept (crossing the x-axis) is represented by the x value when y = 0.

and the y-intercept by the y value, when x = 0.

so, as we can see in the graphic, the x-intercept is at x = 0.5, and the y- intercept at y = 1.

so, the ordered pairs are

x-intercept (0.5, 0)

y-intercept (0, 1)

a line can have only one of each intercept (never like 2 or 3 y-intercepts). in some cases (parallel to a coordinate axis) it might not have one of these intercepts.
