Choose a symbol that appears in Chapter 10, Roll of Thunder, Hear my cry and explain what it means now, compared to earlier in the story. What did the symbol mean originally, and what events have helped create or change the symbol’s meaning?

Answer:

Family is very important in Chapter 10. Now, it means much more than just supporting eachother but has a deeper meaning of sticking together and helping eachother no matter what it takes. In Chapter 10 the Logans are struggling to stay afloat, even though society seems to be conspiring against them. No one will offer Mr. Morrison a job, and Big Ma can’t go to the market because the family is afraid that there might be another act of racist violence. They have to support and help each-other through all of the hardships they go through.

Step-by-step explanation:

FYI, the other person who answered did a great job but in this particular question I think it was asking what symbol changed meaning throughout the book.

Hope I helped !

Answer:

Racism

Step-by-step explanation:

Racism plays a huge roll in Roll Of Thunder. It was the cause of the big fire which killed Mr.Barnett. There is still racism nowdays, but its not as harsh now. The symbol originally meant that african americans deserved less in life than Americans. They were punished for things Whites did.

Hope this helps!!!
