Given:

  • Hemisphere
  • Cylinder

Volume of the hemisphere:

v = (2)/(3) \pi {r}^(3)

v = (2)/(3) * \pi * {1.5}^(3)

v = 7.07 \: {cm}^(3)

Volume of the cylinder:

v = \pi {r}^(2) h

v = \pi * {1.5}^(2) * 4

v = 28.27 \: {cm}^(3)

Total volume:

v = 7.07 + 28.27

v = 35.34 \: {cm}^(3)

Hence, the volume of the given compound shape is 35.34 cubic centimeters.
